Boy?
Even though it rained a bit today we didn't miss our run and playtime in the park.
Look at these surfer shorts that I bought for baby. Charmaine says that she looks like me in my weekend gear in this outfit with the tank top and baggy shorts. A lady asked if she was a boy or a girl, which is the first time in a long time that someone asked that question.
The light rain kept everyone indoors today so we had the whole playground to ourselves.
This gave Yu Yu room to cruise around.

She matches the stoller today.
Birdies?
Yu Yu loves to point out the birds from our apartment window. She can spot them from way far away and gets quite excited, pointing and shouting "buh!".
She's doing the same thing at the park here.
When you ask her where the birdies are and she can't see any she'll open her hands, shrug her shoulders and say "Mo" which means none in Cantonese.

All Canadian Girl
We are at a little park on Conduit Road. I've been taking her out for a run in the mornings before I go to work and we stop in here on the way home. There are no other little kids here at this time but there are a couple of grannies that I've gotten quite close to.
One of them just complains about her daughter-in-law saying how she never reads books with her son or does anything 'healthy' with him. The kid (3 years old) was telling his grandma about how mom takes him to karaoke bars with her girlfriends. The granny could only shake her head.
No karaoke bars for this one. We do our best to make sure she gets out of the apartment as much as possible. Kids need fresh air and sunshine.

Social Butterfly
This is us getting ready for the wedding reception of one of my colleagues, Christine Yam who finally married Geoffrey in Australia last month. They had a nice reception at the new Four Seasons in Hong Kong when they got back. You can see Maddy was excited to go and show off her new dress.
Once there Maddy was on the move making the rounds and meeting the people...
...like uncle Navin here.
She even took to the stage for a while but nobody handed her the microphone. Just as well. She was happy to dance to the music.

Dresses
This is just one of the good things about having a baby girl. Now that summer is here we have so many dresses (mostly gifts from friends) that she can almost wear a new one every time we go out.
This first one we wore to HK Park to see the birds and monkeys.
This little number was for the American Club.
This one looks like a school uniform that I bought when baby was only a couple of months old. I told Charmaine "I'll never buy dresses for the baby because she will get so many as gifts." But then I saw this in a store and I had to buy it.
We got this one in Canada just last month and we wore it to a wedding reception for one of my colleagues.
I forget where we wore this one, maybe just around the apartment

Out with Dad
After Lauren went home to shower up for ballet class I went to another playground on Conduit Road before coming home and got these shots.
This is her golden chariot that I get to push her around in. She looks like she is modelling with a new car.
This is Maddy walking very softly as she is trying to peek around a part of the playground to see another girl playing.
Getting tired here and were were on our way home after this shot

You may remember
Nigel, the kid who was picking Maddy's nose and making her cry around Christmas time.
Well, the tables have turned 4 months later when Nigel came over for a play date. Nigel is 1 week older than Maddy but she not as easily picked on now.
I don't know if Maddy is reaching down to pinch Nigel's bum here.
