Galoong Galoong

That is the sound that the wagon makes when my dad pulls the kids around the neighbourhood. They go for walks all the time as long as the weather good and sometimes they'll be out for hours. Yu Yu sure misses that now that she's back in Hong Kong :-(

My mom's 2 favourite things..

babies and sleeping. Here they are all rolled into one.

OMG! (Oh My God!)

Holy crap. We are really going to need to keep an eye on this one.
It won't be long until she can get right over.
We may need a thicker carpet/crash pad or put a lid on her playpen.

We really need to get this monkey into a playgroup. And look at those legs! Any weightlifter would be proud of those.

Has it really been a year?

Hurray, the baby is 1 today! This is one of the many birthday celebrations that Yu Yu had while on this trip. She was happy and clapping until the singing of 'Happy Birthday' got to be a bit too loud for her (there were over 20 people at my uncle's house all singing/shouting together).

To her credit, she was still clapping while she was crying.
My mom helped with the candle and then tried to settle Yu Yu down again.

Hard to believe a year has passed since she struggled into this world.

More from Orillia

Here are some more pics of the kids in Orillia. This is just them horsing around as they did every day. Maddy has picked up a lot during this trip including a lot of dancing, pointing and general shouting and making a lot of noise and being around her older cousins has helped a lot.

Just when you think Noah and Jacob are getting along fine...
something will snap. Look out Jacob, a slap to the back to the head is a comin'!

Actually, although this looks like a slap Noah was just patting Jacob on the shoulder.

Mom didn't waste any time

My mom didn't waste any time putting Yu Yu to work once back in Orillia. We all need to pull our weight back home or no dinner. Jennifer, our nanny/helper back in Hong Kong will be appreciative of Yu Yu's new skills.

On the road

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last few weeks, we have been on the road. First we flew to Vancouver to see Charmaine's grandmother and my brother John. Then we were off to New York to see Charmaine's mom. Next stop was Orillia for a few days to see my family then down to Toronto to see Charmaine's dad. We just did a side trip to Ottawa to see one of Charmaine's aunts and cousins and nephews and now we are back in Toronto before flying back to Hong Kong on Thursday.

I have taken many pictures and will load them slowly over the next little while. To start off here are some of Maddy and her cousins Jacob on the left and Noah on the right. They were very friendly and Maddy fit right in.
